2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 57,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 21 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

    11,000+ views in one day?! Impressive numbers!! Wow. What’s your secret? I don’t use reddit.com. Is that helpful in getting views?

      That’s where those numbers came from Mark. It was on the main movies reddit page, though. That where the action is but they don’t like reviews on that page, they prefer reviews in their “reddit critic” page. In all honesty, the whole reddit deal is a stroke of luck.

      Yeah, I’m pretty happy with 57,000. I know some that got a lot more than that but I also took some time out here and there. It’s hard to say what the secret is but Reddit is definitely a big draw. Cheers Mark!

      Thanks! happy new year to you too. As for the stats, I thought mine were small change compared to some. I wouldn’t worry to much about them, though. I find that as long as you’ve got a solid little community going, then that’s the main thing.

    What you wrote was actually very reasonable. But, what about this?
    what if you added a little content? I ain’t saying your content isn’t solid., but
    suppose you added something that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean 2013 in review | MARKED MOVIES is a little plain. You might glance at Yahoo’s home page
    and watch how they create post titles to grab viewers to click.

    You might add a video or a related picture or two to get readers excited about everything’ve got to say.
    Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little
    livelier.
